Staff at secondary schools delighted by national award

Staff at all four secondary academies in Dudley Academies Trust were delighted to have achieved The Quality in Careers Standard, awarded for the Trust’s outstanding careers programme.

A major milestone for our secondary academies

All are now on or above the national average for the progress made by learners.

2023 sees £1,250,000 of improvements to our estates.

These improvements come on top of nearly £15 million invested over the first five years of the Trust.

A new system of rewards and behaviour management brings a different culture to the schools and a boost to teaching and learning in the classrooms.

Learners start the term with new uniforms (free blazers and ties), a new school day and new teaching methods centred around Collaborative Learning.

A new identity

High Arcal Academy becomes Beacon Hill Academy, Holly Hall Academy is now Pegasus Academy, Hillcrest Academy changes to The Link Academy and Castle Academy is re-named St James Academy The names have been developed by students.

Developing our estate

Work starts on £4.5 million worth of improvements to the fabric of the four academies.

First appointments to the Central Team

Experienced professionals are recruited to lead on data management, estates, finance, HR, IT, marketing and leadership development.
